Live In Person Classes and Exams

ORS Interactive provides regularly scheduled Food Safety Classes (English & Spanish) and administration of ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exams in the ORS Training & Testing Center in Annandale, Virginia, and other locations including “Live” On-Site Classes & Exams in restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, community centers, government agencies, military installations, correctional centers, clubs, and nonprofit organizations, etc.
ORS Interactive’s “Live” One-Day Food Safety Class & Certification Exam includes 5-hours of Food Safety Exam Preparation followed by the administration of the ANSI-nationally accredited ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam (90 questions / 2-hour time limit).

“Live” One-Day Food Safety Class & Certification Exam Classes (in English) are currently held every Monday and Wednesday in Annandale (with exception of National Holidays). “Live” One-Day Food Safety Class & Certification Exam Classes (in Spanish) are currently held on the second Saturday of every month in Annandale (with exception of National Holidays).

Classes run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (including a lunch break), and the ANSI-nationally accredited ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam is administered at approximately 3:00 pm. Students should plan to be on-site from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m., depending on how quickly they complete the Exam.

ORS Interactive’s “Live” One-Day Food Safety Exam Preparation Class & ServSafe Certification Exam is recommended for all restaurant and foodservice owners, managers, chefs, food & beverage managers, supervisors, and anyone else with responsibility for ensuring food safety. The program is designed to educate learners about food safety certification requirements of local health departments and national health agencies and prepare them to take and pass the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam. This is part of a comprehensive national and international effort to improve safe food handling practices and lower risk at restaurant and foodservice operations everywhere.

Exam Results are available immediately for individuals who take computerized ServSafe Certification Exams in the ORS Testing Center (paper exams are available, but must be requested at least two weeks in advance, with results available in approximately two weeks).

Registration Policies & Fees for ORS Interactive’s “Live”, One-Day Food Safety Exam Preparation Class & ServSafe® Certification Exam

The Registration Fee is $180 and includes 5-hours of exam preparation, administration of the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam (90 questions / two-hour time limit).
Note: There is a 10% discount if 3 or more people from the same company/organization attend the same class together. Space cannot be guaranteed for those who do not register in advance.

Anyone who is unable to register online for a Class and/or Exam should send an email to moc.evitcaretnisro%40ofni or call (703) 819-0035 or (703) 533-7600 to register and be officially added to the schedule.
Everyone who passes the ServSafe Exam (a score of 70% or higher) receives the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, recognized, and accepted across the United States (including Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland, and internationally). The Northern Virginia Food Manager Photo ID Certificate / Card is included FREE ($40 value) for those who pass the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam at ORS Interactive.
Those who take the “Live” One-Day Food Safety Exam Preparation Class, and then fail a ServSafe Exam administered by ORS Interactive have the right to retake the Exam for only $45 (our cost) and retake the “Live” One-Day Food Safety Exam Preparation Class, free of charge. ORS provides this type of “insurance” policy because it’s our goal to help industry colleagues rightfully “earn” their professional certifications.
Anyone who needs to retake the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam and/or the “Live” One-Day Food Safety Exam Preparation Class, free of charge, must first send an email to moc.evitcaretnisro%40ofni or call (703) 819-0035 to be officially added to the schedule.
Please bring a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, consulate, military, etc.) on the day of the class. Some students may also want to purchase the ServSafe Food Manager’s Book, 7th Edition (pictured, left), prior to class. It is not needed for the ORS “Live” One-Day Class (the instructor covers all necessary content) but some students find it helpful to study independently before the class, or to keep a physical copy of the course content after the class.
Those who wish to purchase the book can do so at the ORS Training & Testing Center for a cost of only $45 if they are registered for an ORS Class.
