Douglas (Doug) E. Adair, an internationally known association and business executive, is Chief Executive Officer of ORS Interactive, Inc., a consulting and technology firm headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, and a Director of ORS Multimídia Interativa, Ltda. in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.
Doug has extensive expertise in strategic planning and business planning; hotel, restaurant and tourism management and food safety management; convention planning and event production; economic development and workforce development; association management and non-profit management; executive selection and executive coaching; organizational development and organizational psychology; and professional development and performance management.
Additionally, Doug is a professional musician, entertainer, and accomplished songwriter. Writing, publishing, and recording music for video productions, conventions, television commercials, and record-albums are among his many talents. He also serves as a facilitator for planning sessions and other types of interactive meetings and as the on-camera host for video productions and video conferences.

Doug was Executive Vice President of the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE) in Washington, DC, from 1986 to 1996. CHRIE, an international organization with members in more than 50 countries, improves professionalism in hospitality and tourism (the world’s largest industry) through education, training, and human resource development. In his role as EVP of CHRIE, Doug worked with corporate and association executives, cabinet secretaries and government agencies, college and university presidents and officials, and national and international education leaders.
Prior to his appointment with CHRIE, he served as the Director of Education Services for the National Association of REALTORS in Chicago and Washington, DC. He is a graduate of Western Illinois University (WIU) with degrees in Communications and Marketing.
