Food Manager Certification Exam Northern VA

The price is $109 and includes the “In-Person” Certification Exam in the ORS Office
Any subsequent exam after the first is only $45 (provided the re-test is within six months of the first attempt, and both are taken at our office).
The Northern Virginia Food Manager Photo ID Card is included FREE when you pass the exam at ORS Interactive ($40 value!)

ORS Interactive administers the ServSafe Food Manager’s Examination (a nationally accredited, computerized food safety certification exam) from Monday to Wednesday and the second Saturday of the month (see hours, below). The Northern Virginia Certified Food Manager (NVCFM) Card is included FREE (a $40 value!) after the exam has been successfully passed.
Advance reservations are required. Candidates who arrive without a reservation in hopes of testing on a walk-in basis (with a valid, government-issued photo ID) may be turned away if all our test computers are in use for public or private classes. Results will be generated immediately upon completion of the Exam, and your ServSafe e-certificate will be available the same day (at the end of testing hours).

Testing Preparation:

It is not necessary to complete a Food Safety Class prior to taking a Food Safety Certification Exam, but many people find this helpful in preparing for the exam. ORS Interactive offers Public and Private / On-Site Classroom Training in Preparation for Nationally Accredited Food Protection Manager Certification Exams in English and Spanish (see the upcoming scheduled training dates, or call us at (703) 533-7600).
Additionally, ORS Interactive offers a food safety textbook for independent study. This textbook is available in English and Spanish (as well as Chinese or Korean, upon request) and is on sale at the ORS Interactive office for $70. Contact our office for complete details. Information about other providers of Food Safety Exams and Food Safety Classes in the Northern Virginia Region is also available from ORS Interactive, Inc. and through local Health Departments.

Please bring a cell phone with an email account you have access to, as a verification code will be sent to you before the exam can begin.

Available Languages:

The test is offered via computer in English, Spanish, and Chinese, with immediately available results. Paper tests (with results available in 2-3 weeks) are also available upon request in French Canadian, Japanese, and Korean. Please call us for further language options at (703) 533-7600.

Limited Food Managers Exams:

1) To acquire a LIMITED Northern Virginia Certified Food Manager (NVCFM) Card, it is necessary to make a reservation with ORS Interactive to take and pass the Limited Food Manager’s Exam. This can be done only at ORS Interactive, and no other tests will be accepted. You will need to bring a valid, government-issued photo ID, and $20 for the test (cash, credit card, and company check accepted).

NOTE: On days when Food Safety Classes are held (typically Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday), testing capacity may be reduced in the late afternoon. Please register online or call ahead to check availablity!

2) Once you have passed the Limited Food Manager’s Exam (with a score of 70% or higher) ORS Interactive will take your photo and issue your Limited NVCFM card for $40 (cash, credit card, and company check accepted).
